Web Content Display The Genesis Oncology Trust funds a broad range of cancer-control research, training and education. Genesis Oncology Trust's Charitable Purpose:
The Trust was set up in 2002 by Genesis Energy to support the company's ongoing commitment to the community and to contribute in a positive way to a major health problem in New Zealand. The Trust is funded through one-off donations, endowment grants from Genesis Energy and from the ongoing generosity of Genesis Energy Customers who donate to the Trust through their monthly energy bill. It is Trust policy that 100% of all money donated by its donors be applied to the fight against cancer. All administrative costs are covered directly by Genesis Energy. Administration The grant round process is managed by the Program Manager, Douglas Ormrod C&G Lond, PhD. Douglas is a trained experimental pathologist with over 30 years research experience. His primary task is to manage the research rounds; seeking and processing applications, garnering local and international reviews for research proposals and acting as a liaison between applicants and the Genesis Oncology Trust assessment committee. He also oversees the disbursement of grants and is responsible for producing copy for the Genesis Oncology Trust New Hope newsletter and related publications. The Trust is administered by Ms Christine Cleator. Read more about all our projects funded, and our trustees. |
